Jeep Compass Model Year Changes
- 2017: Second-generation redesign with a new chassis and powertrain (2.4-liter four-cylinder: 180 horsepower, 175 pound-feet of torque), more available driver aids, and an optional 8.4-inch navigation touchscreen.
- 2019: After a carryover year, the Compass made the 7-inch touchscreen standard and bundled adaptive cruise control in the Advanced Safety Group. It also added new packages for the base (Upland) and Limited (High Altitude) trims.
- 2020: Blind-spot monitoring, rear traffic alert, and rear parking sensors became available to base models. A new Luxury Seat package for top trims added driver-position memory and ventilated front seats.
- 2021: An available 80th Anniversary package (Latitude trim) added unique style enhancements, 19-inch wheels, an 8.4-inch touchscreen, and a household-style power outlet. Lane-keep assist and adaptive cruise control became standard in Limited and Trailhawk®.
- 2022: A styling refresh gave the Compass a bolder look. Base models got the 8.4-inch touchscreen and wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, while Latitude Lux and higher received a new 10.1-inch display. Lane-keep assist, blind-spot monitoring, and rear traffic alert also became standard.
- 2023: The Jeep Compass now comes standard with all-wheel drive and a new 2.0-liter turbo-four engine (200 hp, 221 lb-ft).
