When it comes to unveiling new models, sometimes automakers just can't seem to wait. This was exactly the case for the Jeep brand with its new Jeep Wrangler Polar Limited Edition model. It was unveiled just before the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show, and now that it has officially debuted we have all of the details to share with the Missoula, MT area right here on our blog.

At first glance, our eyes are immediately drawn to its Hydro Blue exterior and matching hardtop. For customers who are craving a different color, it will be offered in Bright White and Billet Silver Metallic as well. The Wrangler also sports black 18-inch wheels and a variety of Mopar accessories that help to jazz up the model.

So where does the name "Polar" come from? The Wrangler actually sports special Polar badges on each side of the vehicle with the coordinates of Vostok, Antarctica. It is at that exact location where the coldest temperatures have ever been recorded. The automaker decided to work off of this wintery theme, giving it its icy blue characteristics. It wanted to encourage drivers to venture into the unknown with this adventurous model.

In terms of performance, the limited edition Wrangler sports either a 3.6-liter gasoline engine capable of generating 284 horsepower, or a 2.8 liter four-cylinder turbodiesel that can crank out 200 horsepower. It also offers standard features that include heated-front seats, automatic climate control, and a 6.5-inch touchscreen infotainment system with navigation.

Although this limited edition model will only be available on the European market for now, we still have a great variety of new Jeep models to offer you here at Lithia Chrysler Jeep Dodge of Missoula. Simply visit us anytime during our normal business hours and we'd be happy to arrange test drives and answer any questions that you may have!
