Both the Heavy Duty 2500 and 3500 models will now be available with a 6.4-liter Hemi, the largest powertrain available for pickups. It cranks out an impressive 410 horsepower and 429 pound-feet of torque. For even more power, you can also choose from the three diesel engine options as well, each varying in performance depending on the transmission they are paired with.
If you're looking for a pickup that is reliable and will get the job done without the need for so much power, then the RAM 1500 is probably more your style. With its new fuel-efficient diesel engine coupled with an eight-speed automatic transmission, you'll be able to enjoy 420 pound-feet of torque. Additional features include active aerodynamics and a stop-start system.
As far as other enhancements to the lineup go, there will be the addition of the "Blue Streak" and "Granite Crystal" exterior colors, along with the option of 18- and 20 inches wheels. These are of course just a sampling of the great improvements that are coming to the 2014 RAM pickup lineup.
