Just as rapidly as Chrysler innovates, young minds are quickly developing and will help shape our future. Just as the automaker wouldn't cease creating reliable new Chrysler vehicles, Chrysler is also committed to helping the students of today become to the leaders of tomorrow.

Just last week on Nov. 26, Chrysler Group LLC presented a $65,000 grant from the Chrysler Foundation to the Winning Futures organization to help continue its educational scholarships and mentoring programs in high schools in metro Detroit. It's been three years since Chrysler became actively involved with the Winning Futures' school-based mentoring program.

The following schools are those who have been touched by Winning Futures: Cass Technical High School  and Jalen Rose Leadership Academy in Detroit; Cousino, Community and Warren Mott high schools in Warren; Harper Woods High School; Madison High School in Madison Heights, and Pontiac Academy for Excellence. Twenty Chrysler employees are mentoring at the latter school.

"Winning Futures' goal is to empower today's youth for a successful future by developing skills which can be used throughout their lives," says Kristina Marshall, Winning Futures' President and CEO. "Through the program, students receive a positive adult role model, learn skills to improve their confidence and abilities, and set goals to advance their development."1

Marshall also noted that Chrysler's large donation is proof that "companies do care and they are getting involved,"2 --something we couldn't be any more proud of here at Lithia Chrysler Jeep Dodge of Missoula.
